True Beauty

How can I be beautiful?

It's not about hair or skin,

It's about what's on the inside.

True beauty comes from within.

A love for Jesus and others,

And joy that overflows,

Peace that comes from God alone,

Patience that never slows.
***

Kindness shown to everyone,

Goodness that does not end,

Pure, unchanging faithfulness,

To God and to your friends.
***

Gentleness of spirit,

And finally self-control,

When you possess all of these fruits,

True beauty's gonna show.

So how can I be beautiful?

The Bible's  the best place to start.

"Man looks at the outward appearance,

But God looks at the heart."
